Song Thaew driver found in the trash after "someone's trying to kill me" call to brother

Thai caption: Corpse found in the trash

A song thaew driver who had been missing for five days in Bang Plee, Samut Prakarn has been found strangled in a mountain of trash.

The body of Surasit, 32, was found with a belt around the neck in the closed off trash collecting room of a building in the Bang Sao Thong police jurisdiction.

It happened at the Kheha Muang Mai building. The trash room is connected to many floors of the building indicating he may have been put down a garbage chute.

The victim's elder brother Ek said that his younger sibling had left the house at 4 am on the 16th to go and drive his song thaew (a public transport vehicle with two rows of seats).

At 11.20 am he had received a call from his brother who told him that someone was chasing him and trying to kill him. He went to find him around midday but could not locate his brother.

He posted his picture on Facebook in an effort to find him.

Police are investigating.

Why didn't the victim drive to a police station? Maybe it was a cop trying to kill him.

Maybe this, maybe that? Why didn't? I re-read the post and failed to find anything remotely relevant.

Or maybe the issue that involved someone wanting to kill him was not something he wanted to discuss with the police. Suggesting it was an officer attempting to kill him is a bit over the top.

Why didn't he give his brother a name ????

Love the 'what, maybe and why' feeble minded replies- brain dead zombie parallels come to mind.

Poor fella. Killed by someone! What a <deleted>ty thing to happen to anyone.

Thailand has always had a high murder rate.

Wrong. Search it up, homicide rate is at 4,8 per 100,000 same as the USA.

brazil,Mexico, Honduras and El Salvador have a really high homicide rate.

another poor fella bashing Thailand because he is miserable in his life.

You say it's not high because another country with a high homicide rate has just as many?

And don't forget all the people who jump from balconies, or maids from Myanmar or Laos, who stab themself 20 times until they die, which are classed as suicide and thus don't appear in this statistic.

The USA has a high murder rate.

Thanks for the personal insult. Where did that come from, Mr Angry?
