Badrabbit
Can anyone confirm that the bank letter etc(retirement extension) can be dated the day before applying for the extension(Phuket) or does it need to be dated same day as applying? Badrabbit
Think the 7 days is standard but as we know all immigration offices seem to have there own rules. 7 days before in Chiang Mai.Sent from my SM-G610F using Thailand Forum - Thaivisa mobile app

likerdup1
I have a handout from Chonburi immigration that says not more than 3 days old. Not sure if that includes weekends but I would not chance it. I'll go to get another extension of stay for my retirement visa next week and will get the bank letter confirming my balance of over 800K THB the day before or on that day. At Chonburi immigration the extension desk personnel are very approachable. I have gone there twice and asked them about a couple of things for me. They gave me the handout the last time I was there. I suggest just going to the Phuket office and politely find a time in between their "customers" to ask the question. They may have a handout as well. mtls2005
Many lists I've seen mention two (2) letters: 1.) Covers income, or 800,000 2.) Account ownership and balance #1 age? Seen some close to a month old on income, as long as it covers the most recent qualifying foreign transfer. For 800K, seen mention that it used to be seven (7) days, but now three (3). #2 age? Seems like same day is required, with some getting by on +1 day. As with all things, YMMV.
