A Constitutional Court judge has assured the public that the court will hand down penalties for contempt of court only when it is necessary, either for the benefit of the parties in a court case or of the court proceedings and only with the approval of two-thirds of the nine court judges.

The judge, Mr. Panya Uttachart, offered the assurance after the Office of the Constitutional Court issued a press release explaining the authority of the Constitutional Court concerning criticism of the court’s rulings, which may be deemed to be contempt of the court.

Best of luck in your assurance. You have a Mount Everest to climb in changing the general public negative perception of the court's impartiality. First assessment coming soon in the oath's case.

If you have to assure people of your impartiality/neutrality, then you probably already have an issue with your impartiality (or lack thereof).

Zero credibility. Th election was a farce. The EC is a farce. The CC is a farce.
