WARNER BROS.

Sherlock Holmes 3 director Dexter Fletcher has teased that his continuation of the franchise will inevitably be different to the Guy Ritchie films that came before.

While Guy Ritchie helmed the first two Sherlock Holmes films, which star Robert Downey Jr as Holmes and Jude Law as Watson, Rocketman director Dexter Fletcher has taken over the franchise for the third film.

And in a new interview with Collider, Fletcher confirmed that he will be bringing his own stamp to the films while also honouring what came before.

"Well, I think that's inevitable, isn't it?" he said.
