House Speaker Chuan Leekpai said on September 4 that he has allocated 15 hours for the September 18 parliamentary debate on the prime minister’s incomplete oath-taking statement.

He said the debate will run from 9.30am to midnight, and will not be extended. He also set the condition that no other agenda be raised during that allotted time.

As for media speculation that the opposition may want the debate to be extended to the following day, Chuan said this will be “impossible” without a royal decree, which is necessary to extend the current parliamentary session, which wraps up on September 18.

What a well chosen date to hold the debate, I get sick of those cheaters.

Well the only plus is doing it on the 18th makes them look more crooked than thaksin or the scumbag suthep .

Buck Banana and General Rolex are fully visible as a right pair of self enrichening lying cockroaches of the worst pedigree .

Country is financially, legally and credibly going down the toilet thanks to military and it's greedy backers .

15 hours. Should not take 15 minutes!!!

1) Did he get it wrong? Yes

2) Does that make it invalid? Yes

3) Sacked and anything he has done in the interim be overturned. Yes

4) New general election? Yes

Never happen. Move on. Mr Teflon Coated Prayut stays put protected by his cronies.

There are some interesting articles by few people that are not allowed to be mentioned or linked to, but it paints rather interesting picture on how this whole saga came about, who ordered it and what is next.

It rather paints Big P, as a victim in a big game where he can not win, but it was a set up to have him removed "nicely" and for good.

Do not think its the end but rather the beginning

Because Big P, has taken full responsibility (and not by choice) the only one getting removed would be him.

All the rest stay and under new leadership, anyone who steps out of line gets removed

There will be no general elections, but new leader "accepted" by all because he would be "suggested" so he would be accepted, can not say much more than that

I also read the same interesting articles too. Do you mean you think this is an excuse to remove him 'cos they want him out, or he is just an unfortunate scapegoat?

a simple swear in will need to allocate 15 hours, for God's sake what they will do during all that time, the guy just has to read the proper paper and it's done

Pretty much yes as he is from the wrong side, faction, court, guard( I think you will understand what I mean)

someone else was picked for the job even before the elections but that person could not take over without an unwanted uprising .

Now , Big P, most likely will be removed by the courts and neutral person will need to take over to restore the country and no one will be able to say a boo but accept it and move on.

Thaksin thought he was going to be that man but notice how he has disappeared from the face of the earth? But was aquitted just recently of a case? Hardly a coincidence ????????
