One Way Ticket

Featured Replies

Hi All

At the end of April, i will be moving to Thailand from the UK. I have a non resident"O" visa.

Can i just get a one way ticket or will i have to show a return flight at immigration. :o

With a visa you can travel to Thailand with a O/W ticket, no problem

its best to ask the airline when you buy your tickets just to make sure

Having been to Thailand more times than I can count I was NEVER asked

to show a return ticket at immigration at BKK or HKT airports on arrival.

Last year (September) I came here for the first time on a one-way with

a non-imm good for 6 months. The lady at the airline check-in checked

with her supervisor and she said it was OK as I had a visa.

By all means check/clarify with the airline to be safe just in case but I

doubt you will have any problem.

Good luck

Enjoy your stay

come in all the time 1 way as buy ticket in thailand never been asked to show return ...

As long as you have a visa then there is no problem at all with a one way ticket. Many airlines will not let you fly with a one way ticket if you don't have a visa as they have to pay the costs to fly you back.

Ok, thanks everyone for your advice. You have confirmed what i already suspected.

It was just one of those nagging thoughts at the back of my mind.

I can't wait to be back in Thailand again.
