September 10, 20196 yr Dear all, Long-term lower back pain/trouble suffer seeks experienced quality physiotherapist. I've been around the numerous physios in and around Chiang Mai with no results and I'm sick (well more tired) of hearing the same old treatments - things I've implemented religiously but still getting issues. Does anyone know anyone, or has been treated by anyone, who really and I mean really really, knows what they are doing - I'm looking for a long-term solution not short term relief. I'm aware of the recommended doctors list but would rather see if anyone can give a first hand personal recommendation. Grateful for any help folks.

Maybe Chiang Mai just can't help you any further.
September 11, 20196 yr Have you tried Rajavej Hospital physio dept. or Chiang Moi Physiotherapy (both very good).
September 11, 20196 yr My good (elderly) friend recommends the Ram physio people. I imagine you’ve done it already by the sound of your post...but you have had x ray or MRI to see the disc situation.?
September 11, 20196 yr Ajarn Noi is a great physiotherapist who truly knows her stuff. She was employed at a hospital for many years as a phyisiotherapist until she retired. She was schooled at Mahidol University in Bangkok and has developed quite a reputation as a physiotherapist. She furthered her career and became a special lecturer and clinical instructor at Chiang Mai University. She was working almost exclusively at the Centre of the Universe swimming complex and was incorporating water therapy on some of her patients due to the benefits of less resistance and more suitability to affected joints and problem areas. She has opened up an office on changmoi rd in chiang mai and has a fast growing clientele. She is mostly at her changmoi rd office but does still go to the centre of the universe 1-2 a week. I have utilized her expertise and she has helped me significantly along with countless others who she has treated at the swim centre. Her email address is [email protected] and her ph # is 0818831715. Good luck https://sites.google.com/site/physiotherapywaterclass/ Edited September 11, 20196 yr by watgate
September 11, 20196 yr Try www.chiangmaibackpain.com It's run by a Brit who still practices in the UK at his own clinic but also has a clinic up here. He is available from 26th November for 4 or 5 days and he recommends 2 sessions and he can tell you if he can fix you or not. It's 2,000 baht for a 50 minute consultation I have been searching without success until I found this guy, looked at his website and thought he has to be worth a try, so I am taking my wife to see him when he is here His clinic is in a soi near Chiang Mai Ram Hope this helps TP
