Trade Union Hotel,hanoi,vietnam

Featured Replies

The first room we were given was flithy. Cigarette burns and other muck on the carpet. The bathroom smelt of piss. :D

The second room we were put in was a lot cleaner...shame it didn't have any hot water! It took an hour for them to sort it out at a time when we needed tp shower and meet up with other people in the hotel. :o

The hotel has a 3* rating which is not the case in reality. I would say a very poor nearly 2*. It is very tired and dated. Its location not too bad, near the railway station in Hanoi. It advertisd the fact it had a bar. It might have had one 20 years ago but not now. And all the photographs on the web site must have been taken 20 years ago. :D

We do plan on visiting Hanoi next year.Accommodation aside we enjoyed our trip.

Anyone know of a good hotel in the Old Quarter?

Hanoi Elegance (1 or 2) for around US$40 a night is pretty good value and a perfect location in the heart of the old french quarter.
