Also within Thailand i suggest not to let them know you have 2 passports. I wanted to come into Thailand on passport #1 ( with valid non 'O' ) then exit with same passport but enter Laos on passport #2 to get a new non 'O' put on that passport, i was informed it's not possible to 'switch' passports in no mans land crossing the border so came in on a Visa Expemt on passport #2 then crossed to Laos.
