Featured Replies

Dual national here, planning to swap passports entering Laos from Thailand.

any experience ?

The do at land border crossings and Thai immigration check for stamps for entering and departing Laos.

There have been few reports of the them checking on entry to Laos by air also.

Alright, thanks for your input

How about from Thailand to Laos? Do Laos immigration check for Thai stamps? And same for Malaysia, do they check Thai stamps?

I would advise not to do this, it blows their mind that you can hold 2 valid passports from the same country.

Also within Thailand i suggest not to let them know you have 2 passports.

I wanted to come into Thailand on passport #1 ( with valid non 'O' ) then exit with same passport but enter Laos on passport #2 to get a new non 'O' put on that passport, i was informed it's not possible to 'switch' passports in no mans land crossing the border so came in on a Visa Expemt on passport #2 then crossed to Laos.
