Can You Recommend Laos Package Tour?

Featured Replies

Hi!

I'd like to go on a 3 or 4 day trip to Laos for a low price. (I live in Bangkok).

Care to recommend any company? I don't wana go with Jack Golf since I don't need a Thai visa, so i'd be wasting my time with the visa border-run group.

But i'd like something in that price range (about 4,000-6,000 Baht? Because I don't need to buy a Laos Visa either).

I don't need luxury... as long as I have my own toilet in a clean and safe 2-star hotel.

I just wana see Vientianne... and maybe Luangprabang if it's not much of an extra cost.

I've decided against Singapore on Songkran... so maybe Laos for a change?

Cheers!

I've used Sakda tours out of Ubon for a 3 day trip around the Pakxe area and enjoyed the trip. Everything was included apart from booze, souvenirs and visa cost and the cost is in your price range.

They have a web site with the trips listed. They appear to be a big company with packages to Vietnam and Cambodia too.

Thanks!

However, I cant seem to Google their website. Moreover, I live in Bangkok and not in Ubon...

oh well... =)

Cheers!

Oops it looks like they’ve let their website sakda.com expire. I can’t imagine the company has gone under as they operated a large fleet of buses plus mini vans and seemed to have the tour monopoly of at least the southern area of Laos.

There were people from all over Thailand on the tours so it must have been a popular tour company. Some of them had flown up from Bkk to join the bus tour and a few nurses traveling in my mini van tour had traveled up from Phuket on an aircon bus to join the tour in Ubon.

Sakda are still listed as an agent for Thai airways as Ubon Sakda Travel & Service Ltd.
