March 23, 200719 yr Regarding flying from Korea to Bangkok: I have to admit once I was spoiled with an airline that allowed you to pause/play the movie you were watching at your seat that I was a little surprised when I flew an airline recently that didn't have this feature. So, I was wondering if anyone had flown a Korean Air Boeing 777 to Bangkok from Korea and if they had a pause/play button on the controller when you watch movies and shows.
April 9, 200719 yr Hi.. it's called AVOD (Audio Visual On Demand) and is being put in place by most major airlines as they upgrade their cabins. It is not aircraft specific so whilst newer aircraft are more likely to have the system it depends on the spec that the airline asked for in the first place. http://www.waea.org/Press/Latesttrends.pdf looks like Korean have it, but it is on all their planes... check with the airline, in my experience they will be happy to help I enjoyed it on Etihad and yes, it is excellent, I'm looking forward to it when I fly again with them in 3 weeks time.
April 9, 200719 yr My experiance of Korean airways is less than savoury (BKK->Dallas). "pot noodles" for inflight meals....
April 9, 200719 yr Author Cheers for the responses. I like Korean food so I'd have no problem with the food on their planes. I'll probably be flying Korean Air next time I come to Bangkok and AVOD will make it much more enjoyable to pass the cramped time in coach.
