October 3, 20196 yr Hello, Would love some insight - as a requirement for getting a ED visa they say I need 6 months bank statements. And 20,000 Baht ( No Big Deal Right?) I have read nothing said about how long the money would need to be in the account - So if I transfer the money from a different account should everything be OK? Or is there some requirement I do not know about? Edited October 3, 20196 yr by lostincnx
October 3, 20196 yr Where are you applying at that wants 6 months of bank statements. Most embassies and consulates do not require it.
October 3, 20196 yr Author Maybe this is new but I am applying in Vientiane in Laos and they told me to bring them with me just incase
October 4, 20196 yr When I went there last month, to apply for my 4th Education Visa, I also heard the rumors about having my bank statement handy. As they might ask for it. But no one could tell me how many months I needed. As everyone had a different number. I brought two months worth of bank statements, each showing that over 20,000 baht came into my account each of those months. When I applied on the first day, sure enough she asked for my bank statement. So I gave it to her. Next day I received my approved Education Visa.
October 10, 20196 yr I have a NON-O ME visa and will apply for a extension for mariage. I have a 3 months contract in a HOSTEL which made my TM30 and have slip of it. I got a document of IMMI that I have a legal address and visa to stay a year after extension. I go to the Bangkok Bank in Chaiyaphum to make a bankaccount and they refuse(My wife has a account overthere). They want a garantee letter of the Dutch embassy. Again a sign that they do not like us? I went to the Krungthai bank and refused. I need a garantee of a account holder which have account more as one year. What's happening overthere. I need an account for my extension. I thought they had limited it now to one?
