Immigration busts karaoke lounge with underage girls in Bangkok

 

 

Immigration chief Lt-Gen Sompong Chingduang announced the arrest of a number of Laotian women running and offering services at a Bangkok karaoke lounge in the heart of the city.

 

Two of the women were found to be under the age of 18 meaning that the owner faces charges of human trafficking.

 

Informants and Region 1 immigration police had been keeping a close eye on the karaoke lounge since early September, reported Naew Na. 

 

Apparently underage girls were seen coming and going. 

 

A sting was set up on October 1st with four 1000 baht notes photocopied before an informant was sent in to the lounge that operates in Kamphaengphet 7 in the Suan Luang area of the capital. 

 

When the signal was given the police moved in. 

 

A Laotian woman identified only as "B" said the lounge was owned by her husband Donladech but he left the day to day running to her. 

 

Two Laotian women were found not to have a work permit and not to have a passport. Two more were under 18. 

 

Charges of human trafficking have been made against those running the establishment.

Another words local police was looked after, but owner refused to look after local immigration. So in your face they said 

You see 8 yr old kids riding motor bikes no helmets and nothing is done even when they ride past BIB . A 17 year works in a bar or whatever and they throw the book at owners/managers <deleted> .

I need to start a business producing these crime busting graphics for press conferences, seems to be one for each arrest they make these days.

This is about what springs to mind every time I read this. First thing I thing is under 16 years old then see under 18 with Human Trafficking next to it. This just littles the real traffickers of human beings. I am sure the girls asked for a job so not exactly trafficked in chains. When you see children 14 and 15 getting married in your village and not a word said. Or as one in the village I lived in had promised a 50+ man to marry him who in turn bist owed gifts on the family. She ran off before the wedding. The man went to the police demanding all his gifts back or her 15 year old sister to marry him if she never came back. The police went to the house and the 16 year old came back and married the man..... And all the people rejoiced at the wedding.

Mistake

Two of the women were found to be under the age of 18 ( the headline states girls there is a difference to women)

Apparently underage girls were seen coming and going.  ( no evidence as usual maybe apparently is not a good word to use of you are not 100% certain support your statement with photos or arrest)

Two more were under 18.  ( what were they doing sweeping the floors)

 

The level of reporting would pass Media module 101.

 

 

Good! Get rid of all the scum preying on underaged kids, locals and foreigners. Traffiquers and customers.

So the police sting involved counterfeit 1000bht banknotes (photocopies) being distributed to drink hostesses inside..

Who is clueless here??

Yup sums up the hypocrisy ! And kids younger than 8 on Mbikes driving past traffic police

Whatever....but some top officials should be aware that in today's world, many 16 year old girls have enjoyed many nasty things in intimacy with men (or women) partners, that could put a barstool lady to shame !

No, the photocopies are to prove the suspects accepted the police money for services.

It would certainly be interesting to "follow the money".  Which official owns the company that produces these graphics?  They must work 24/7 just to keep up with the demand!

They actually do that.  You won't find many bars in pattaya who have kids working.  Not in the tourist area.
