The Constitutional Court today (Friday) opened its inquiry into Future Forward party leader Thanathorn Juangroongruangkit’s media shareholding case.

Thanathorn and nine other defence witnesses are lined up to be questioned by the judges today.  A court official said they expect to complete the questioning of all ten witnesses today, but, if this is not possible, another inquiry session would be scheduled.

Besides Thanathorn, most of the other nine witnesses are relatives. They include his mother Mrs. Somporn, his wife Mrs. Raweepan, his nephews Mr. Piti and Mr. Thawee Charoongsathitpong, V Luck Media employees Ms. Lawan Chankasem and Ms. Kanthita Ouamkham, lawyers Natthanont Apinan and Pipatpong Ruchitanon and driver Chaisith Klaharn.

This will be a test of the "new" system.

Waiting for some more complex logical and legal gymnastics in the outcome of this case. The judges will show a dexterity that belies their age.

They are being asked ridiculous questions that have no bearing on the issue in hand. It shows the court lacks even a modicum of neutrality. They are trying to grab at anything. Like kids trying to catch dandelion seeds in the wind.

Of course, but being a convicted drug smuggler and having fake qualifications is completely fine.

"Local and foreign media, as well as officials from European embassies were present in the courtroom to observe the proceedings." Quote from the PBS article, good to see some foreign support at the hearing.
