Henry Thomas, the actor who starred as Elliot in ET the Extra Terrestrial, has been arrested for driving under the influence in Oregon ( AP )

 

Actor Henry Thomas, best known for his role as Elliot in ET the Extra-Terrestrial, has been arrested after allegedly being found drunk at the wheel of his car in the US.

 

Police found him passed out in the driver’s seat and officers had to wake him up before they arrested him on suspicion of drunk driving, according to TMZ.

 

Another motorist called 911 around 8.30pm on Tuesday to report that driver was stopped in the middle of a residential intersection in the state of Oregon, the celebrity news website reported.

 

Officers arrived to find Thomas in his car and he was given a sobriety test.
