webfact Posted October 28, 2019 Share Posted October 28, 2019 Nigerian and Thai woman arrested in Muang Thong by immigration police Picture: Naew Na A 21 year old Nigerian man was arrested in a room at Muang Thong Thani housing estate in Nonthaburi on Sunday. He was charged with illegal entry into Thailand. A 27 year old Thai woman was charged with harboring and aiding and abetting a person in avoiding arrest. The arrest was mounted jointly by Nonthaburi and Prajuab Khiri Khan immigration - Naew Na did not explain why two divergent immigration departments were working together on the case. But they added that the arrest was part of immigration chief Lt-Gen Sompong Chingduang's crackdown on illegal immigrants in Thailand and repeated a number to call to report violators. The suspects were handed over to the Pak Kret police.
