What would be the best way to handle this in order to call out the corruption and not pay the charge? Thats why he went yesterday. ???? He stopped in SI on the way back and got his 12 month multi reentry permit. He asked the captain about retirement extension at the end. Captain told him not a problem come back when your within 45 days remaining on his O-A. No insurance required and his AUD account along with his baht account as combo is good to go.???? According to Pacific Cross rep, O-A and O-X (10 year version) visas and extensions are the only ones effected....SO FAR!!! If you want to take a chance, then leave Thailand the day before the entry stamp (permission to stay) expires, get a 3 month Non-O and then re-entry and get that (retirement or marriage) extended. Surin Immigration says NO. My friend was told by the captain at Surin Immigration to come back when he is within 45 days of the end of his second year which will be for him about October 1st next and apply.
