Good Lord
Hello! I will stay in Thailand for 92 days so technically I have to do report tomorrow and fly out of Thailand on Friday. Is it true that there is a couple of days "grace period" where you can make the report? Would I have problems flying out of Thailand if I did not do the report? Immigration office is really far away from me and it would be sad to lose a whole day with my family. Thanks!
ubonjoe
No problem leaving the country without doing the report. Departure immigration does not enforce 90 day reporting. The only risk would be if you local immigration office were to notice you did not do the report before leaving when you do your next 90 day report after returning. There is no need to report your address as you’re leaving. A 90 day report is to update your address for the next 90 day period. As you’re leaving it’s redundant. You can only by fined for reporting late; and a report is not late unless you stay in the country longer than 96 days without reporting. Your stay ends on day 92 and so does the need to report. And as no fine is due at the point you leave you cannot, under any law or rule, be fined retrospectively when reporting in the future. I then checked with them whether I needed to do it. They gave me a clear not required within the 7 day grace period.” 2
