We contacted a uk breeeder and he said he would sell us a bitch which is 1 week pregnant. He said if I checked in for flight as normal saying the dog was my pet 9 times out of 10 they would let it board as excess luggage. He said if they refuse he would take back the dog and refund my money.Any thoughts ( I bet I get a few)

Why buy a dog in the UK and go to the trouble of bringing it here. If its not a breed that is used to the heat and humididty then you are being cruel to he dog. I'm also led to believe that there is a six months quarentine time for animals imported into Thailand though you would be wise to check. If you are so set on a dog adopt a soi dog as we did. She has become like part of the family and it cost nothing apart from getting the vet to give her the once over and some injections. You see lots of Farang with British bulldogs or Rottwiellers or other " accessory brand dogs " over here just suffering. Save your money and go native

Why on earth are you asking this again? You posted exactly the same question word for word on your "Importing dogs from England" thread not long ago. Both Nienke & I answered you (both of us know quite a lot about dogs' welfare BTW, Nienke far more than me) saying that it was a very bad idea & that anyone suggesting it only cared about the money.

The only reason that I can think of for you posting again is to find someone who agrees with you. I can't believe you are thinking of being so irresponsible with a dog & her unborn pups. In your first OP you were talking of opening some sort of breeding facility. I can only hope that that is not still the case, if you are willing to put dogs at risk, like this.

H2odunc,

An imported dog like a Bulldog or Rottweiler wont neccesarily suffer here due to the weather.I think you will find that depends on the quality and background of the dog in question. Our Bulldog is quite comfortable here and extremely healthy.

If the OP wants a particular breed thats not available here, why not import?

BTW Whats an accessory brand dog? People buy certain breeds usually because of certain traits various breeds have.

In this particular case, Skyline, because the dog is pregnant & the stresses of the flight could have harmful effects on the bitch and/or her unborn litter.

Edit - and the breed he wants to import, if OP on original thread are still accurate, is golden retriever, in order to start a "breeding business" himself.

November,

Ah,ok....That changes things somewhat.I overlooked that part of the original post.

crackers,

I agree with November,DO NOT try to put a pregnant dog through the trauma of a long haul flight.I'ts stressful enough for any dog but the stress could be extremely harmful to a pregnant dog and pups.

So, what's the most important to you??? The money or the dog? And thus this makes a good breeder? :o
