Logic would be that when shipping household goods you wouldn't send drugs, guns flamible items... But what about your collection of PLayboys, Videos and DVDs. Are there little unknown restrictions until it's too late that one should know? I'd ask the shipper but that would be putting the shipping before the visa...

As a general rule following items are prohibited:

All kinds of narcotics (hemp, opium,cocaine, morphine, heroin), obscene literature, pictures or articles. Firearms: Importation of firearms and ammunition can be done only after a permit has been obtained from the Police Department of the Local Registration Office.

The question would as well be if you are entitled to a duty and taxfree importation

of your household items. Usually need a workpermit combined with anon imm B-Visa or a non-imm O for retirement. If you are married would address everything to the Thai wife, provided she has been out of country for plus 1 year.
