November 18, 20196 yr Flying into Khon Kaen and have found the public transit site for around Khon Kaen no problem at KKtransit. (Is exact change required on public transit bus and if so how much from Airport to the bus terminal?) Where I could use help is: 1) Confirming the bus terminal taking me from Khon Kaen to Roi et is at either the new or old terminal? 2) Also maybe more important trying to find a website with accurate information on bus scheduling from Khon Kaen to Roi et. Any assistance is very much appreciated.????
November 18, 20196 yr I haven't been to Khon Kaen in 3 yrs., so will leave it to others to confirm the departure point. The Pink Bus departs every hour or so from about 6 a.m. to about 6 p.m. Travel time to Roi-et is about 2 hrs.
November 18, 20196 yr Author Ok thank you for your reply. Would appreciate responses with more recent information. Anybody ??????
November 20, 20196 yr I understand that only Bus Terminal 3 (New) is operational now. Can confirm Pink Bus - departs every hour and takes 2.5.hours. Full details here: https://www.thailandee.com/en/transportation-thailand/bus/buses-from-khon-kaen-to-roi-et

Very busy with multiple buses within northeast and other routes. Definitely the station to use. Can't help with exact schedule. Just see that the routes from Khon Kaen eastward go at least once per hour (6 AM to 7 PM roughly). Edited November 20, 20196 yr by KhunBENQ
November 22, 20196 yr Author FYI Public transportation from airport to terminal 3 is the green line bus on the 1st floor via the elevator 15 baht Khon Kaen to Roi Et is 86 baht
November 22, 20196 yr Thanks for returning and posting. So, we can conclude that the Pink Bus is now departing from Baw-Khaw-Saw 3 ?
November 23, 20196 yr Author Yes that is correct. The pink bus travels to Maha Sarakham and Roi Et from the new station (terminal number 3) on the outskirts of Khon Kaen.
November 23, 20196 yr But not necessary to wait for hourly pink bus to Roi-et, as other buses leaving in the direction of Yasothon and Ubon pass through Roi-Et and leave intermittently from BorKor Sor. Usually, no need to wait more than 20 mins max for a bus going that way, if you know how to look and can speak some Thai.
November 27, 20196 yr Author Good to know that information as always looking for the quickest route. Much appreciated.
