With my Marriage Cert(married to Thai) which i registered in S'pore, they gave me only a single entry O for 3 months. I'm S'porean & previously they gave me 1 year multiple O Visa. The counter lady told me I need to show her Bht800,000 in any bank account in order to obtain the 1 Year Visa. I'm considering bringing my family back to S'pore if possible! Any way to prevent this hassle becos I really like staying in Thailand.

Go to KL. Reportedly still doing multi non-o's without proof of funds :o

Thanks! Do you think you can confirm on that? How much would it cost for a One year Multiple 'O' Visa. I've never been to the Thai Embassy in KL only the one in HK.

I just got my marriage certificate and I'll be at the Thai Consulate in Kuala Lumpur on April 8th trying to get my One Year Multiple Non-Immigrant 'O' Visa, so I'll let you know when I get back. Hopefully they still are awarding them:-)

KL is the only Consulate in the immediate area that may issue a multi entry non immigrant O visa on the basis of marriage certificate/ID card although Singapore was reportedly providing with a bank account balance of 400k recently. Without the bank account balance Singapore will only issue the single entry type.

If you are married the expectation is that you have employment and can use the 40k per month family income to obtain yearly extensions of stay.
