Non O versus Non OA in Vientiane

Featured Replies

At the Embassy at Vientiane is it possible to get a non O retirement visa and not a non OA?

I am a South African citizen.

Its been too long since i used that office but you will find a lot of info from BMs here .

Non O-A only available in home country.

You can get a single entry non-o visa for being 50 or over in Vientiane.

You need the normal financial proof, a police clearance and medical certificate (both can be from Thailand).

You can only get a Non-OA visa in South Africa unless you are a permanent resident of Laos.

Thanks Joe. Just to be clear, then, I don't need health insurance then right? I mean since I'm getting a non O and not a non OA.

No insurance is needed.

But a police clearance and medical certificate isn't needed in Savannaket, right?
