Line App. Hiding a conversation. Does it still say unread?

Simple enough question.

 

With the Line App.

 

If you receive messages from a friend that you've added,  but you don't open the chat. Instead you select 'Edit Messages' without clicking on that chat, then select 'Hide messages', so you hide that chat. Does the person who sent you the messages see the chat and those messages they sent as 'unread', as opposed to 'seen'?
