ED Visa change to Non-O at Chaengwattana

Featured Replies

Just a quick question for a co-worker.

I have a woman friend ( South African) who is getting married to a Thai man. She is currently on a Non-ED visa, and asked me if it's possible to change at Chaengwattana to a Non-O. I told her that I THOUGHT it was possible, but to call Immi. and ask them. Then I thought I may be able to get an answer here.

Thanks.

Also, can she get a work permit on a Non-O being a teacher?

no problems

It is not possible to change non immigrant visa categories at immigration.

If she is on a extension of stay based upon attending school she could change the reason for her extension to one based upon being married to a Thai.

If she is on a 90 day entry from a non-ed visa she could apply for the extension based upon marriage.
