I was able to receive a 90 Day non-o visa back in July from Vientiane with no financial documentation. However, when I received the visa, the officer at the counter told me that next time I need to show financial documentation. This was the first time I have heard about this. Does anyone have a recent report in Vientiane for what exactly is required. Thanks!

As far as I know you can still get same visa with no financials. However, If somebody comes with facts they changed, they still grant then with no financials in Savannakhet

His comprehensive post contains detailed information on all aspects of the trip and application, as well as some important requirements NOT posted on the Vientiane thai embassy website, but REQUIRED for the application.
