Thais started to return to their hometowns for the New Year holidays on Thursday (December 26).

The Mo Chit Bus Terminal in Bangkok was packed with passengers waiting patiently to board their buses. Most are heading home to spend time with their relatives while others are simply escaping for a well-earned break.

Transport has increased services from December 26 to 28 to facilitate passengers during the New Year festival.
