Spellbound
Pickpockets' Interpol con A GANG of pickpockets posing as Interpol officers in Malaysia’s largest city have stolen more than £24,000 - simply by stopping tourists and telling them to hand over their wallets. The gang ask for the victims’ wallets or purses on the premise of looking for drugs. Finding none, the fake officers apologise for the inconvenience and let their victims go - after surreptitiously stealing cash or valuables. A local paper said the thieves operated in the Kuala Lumpur tourist and shopping area the Golden Triangle and had struck 34 times since early this year. http://news.scotsman.com/international.cfm?id=634712004
