I need to get a VOA from Mai Sai soon and my visa expires on a Sunday.

 

Does anyone know if I will need to go on a Friday before it expires, or will I still be able to cross and get stamped back in on a Sunday?

Border crossings are open every day of the year. They do not close for weekends or holidays.

    The Mai Sai border crossing into Tachilek is OPEN seven days a week, including Sundays, but closes (I believe) at 5pm. Very popular with shoppers from both sides, also gamblers from Thailand visiting the casinos in Burma.
