Victoria Secret human trafficking case: Court orders assets seized but owner remains at large

Thai media has reported that the Civil Court in Bangkok has ordered the seizure of 467 million baht in assets from 15 people in connection with the Victoria Secret massage parlor. 

 

The parlor in Bangkok was raided in January of last year for offering underage girls from Laos, Myanmar and Thailand for sex. 

 

Owner Kampol Wirathesuporn remains at large but manager Satthatham Chaengchai was earlier sentenced to a prison term of 18 years plus 16 months, a sentence he is appealing.

 

Prayut Phetkhun, a deputy at the office of the attorney general said that the court had ordered assets totalling 467 million to be seized. 

 

Only 225 million of this will find its way into the hands of the state with the rest going to pay debts to two securities firms. 

 

The owner and manager of the parlor are two of the people who have had assets seized. 

 

A warrant is out for the arrest of owner Kampol; there is a 20 year statute of limitations on the case.

I suppose that no one is chasing them for flagrant breach of the trade mark/copyright law!

It can be safely assumed, that those "at large" will stay "at large". You do not run such a business without having all the key people "in check" and on the "payroll". Hence those "at large" will ensure staying "at large". 

Who do you want to fool - would be my question if anyone would ask ????

Why not build a few schools or something the poor people would benefit from, or is that to much to ask?
