Bangkok fell under a quiet spell as thousands of Thais and foreigners left the capital to other provinces to usher in the New Year.

Most streets wore a deserted look, in stark contrast to the heavy traffic since Sunday morning on outbound roads.

Best time of the year.. ????

Thats one of the reasons why I never go anywhere on Holidays!

The other reason, of course, is that I have no schedule at all ???? ????

strange how most people left but, according to AQI, they left the pollution behind??

They must've forgotten to turn off all their diesel cars, which according to TVF experts are the devil incarnate and 110% responsible for all pollution in the universe. The farmer saints burning their fields have nothing to do with it, absolute nada.

It's amazing how a relatively quiet street can turn into a speedway in just a few days.  Never ending supply of traffic, new faces, and of course many women who are prettier than the average who stays here.  They are driving all night from Bangkok and all night back, and we wonder why everyone is crashing.  This country might need more trains, because nothing is stopping someone in BKK going to see their parents.
