Cambodian leader expected to overcome opposition threat, restore US ties and start dynastic transition in 2020

Cambodia’s politics have been so tumultuous in recent years that it is difficult to predict what will happen over the next few weeks, let alone the coming year. But it won’t take long to get a hint of what to expect in 2020.

On January 15, opposition leader Kem Sokha will finally have his day in court after being arrested and charged with treason in 2017 on what many view as trumped up charges of trying to overthrow the government.

Coming soon to a  country youre in

Re the news item:  Go figure!

I doubt this guy is going to last the year out. If the EU turns against him and the river runs dry he will run. Hes already shifted all his money out and has passports in other countries. He will cling on but sooner or later he will get a spike up his ass or be hung from a power pole

"The higher you rise, the harder you fall"

May this be a hard fall !!!

Karma ?

Seems EU did everything to please him so far, would be interesting if they now turn against him.

The dictatorship must remain in the family.

Must be upsetting for one particular "leader" that doesn't have a son to pass the new power on to, like this despot will.

The EU will do no such thing. But do dream on!

He should tried for murder and jailed for 29 life times

US West Point trained...

The US educates another dictator.
