Buy a condo - entitled to visa?

Hi,

I have some vague memory that if you bought a condo, that it validates you for some kind of visa? Or am I not remembering correctly?

Not so, unless the condo qualifies under the Bank of Investment scheme which as I recall is 10 million baht.

But they just add the cost of the elite visa to the condo.

A promotional idea, I remember that. Now we have guaranteed returns!

10 mil and no resale, Has to be new one.

If it were simply a matter of buying any condo and automatically getting a visa, don't you think that would be mentioned in the 101 threads where people go on and on about problems getting visas?

... or that people flogging condos wouldn't mention it in their sales pitches?

Fyi ... You can't do extensions of stay at 7/Eleven either although quite a few TV intellectuals bought into that April Fool's Day hoax.
