Travel outside country 90 day report

Featured Replies

I have a one year visa based on marriage and need to travel outside country, I understand that I need a passport stamp for re entry, However I will miss my 90 day reporting is this a problem? that will affect my visa status? Thank you

You will need a re-entry permit in your passport before you leave. If your question relates to the fact that your 90 day report is due while you are out of the Kingdom that is no problem. You get another 90 days from the date of your re-entry.

Thank you for the information.

You only need to report your address if you actually stay 90 days. If you leave the country within 90 days the count stops the day you leave. It starts again when you re-enter. They won't give you a new date on entry so you'll have to count yourself. The day you re-enter is day 1 of the new 90 day count.

its a report for staying 90 days consecutively in the kingdom, if you don't stay 90 days then no report is required

You can get the single or multiple re~entry visa at the airport (BKK or DMK), but you MUST have this prior to actually departing or your previous non O visa/extension is cancelled upon returning and you have to start over from square one again.

Also lodge TM30, online or in person as soon as you return to Thailand.

I never did in the past,  but do now.

I hear you on that I learned the lesson of not reporting a tm30 at my immigration office and my wife got fined a few hundred baht for not reporting me as a non thai staying at her house!

Which imm office and when was fine applied. Ask question to assist other members..

Personally I did 12 month extension CW last Oct. TM30 was not looked at.

If the visa is still current, and not an extension, and the visa is multi entry, no re-entry permit is required. The visa is the re-entry permit. If it's single entry, then a re -entry permit is required, before you leave.

The 90 day reporting requirements re-commence 90 days after your return. You do not miss the reporting window as you are no longer in Thailand.

I PM-ed you a comprehensive step-by-step instruction on how to register and file TM30s using the IO TM30 website.

You can register on behalf of your wife.  No need anymore to visit your local IO to file a TM30 after return from a trip abroad (or when hosting friends, that need to apply for an extension of stay).
