The free rides on the BTS Green Line extension, which were scheduled to end on January 2, is continuing indefinitely.

The latest news from Bangkok Metropolitan Administration said that the free service of BTS Green Line from Ha Yaek Lat Phrao to Kasetsart University stations has been extended indefinitely. They are now waiting for the governor of Bangkok’s decision on the admission fee rate.

As of January 2, an estimated 800,000 to 900,000 passengers used the service per day.

It expects to collect the fare after the Cabinet approves the price rate of a minimum Bt15 and a maximum of Bt65.

This is the new section north of Mo Chit on the way to Chang Wattana immigration at building B. Are any of these new stations any nearer to CW than Mo Chit?

Yes, Kasetsart is as close as you can get to CW by train.

Then taxi....

That may be the figure for the entire BTS network but it certainly isn't the number of people using the new extension every day.
