Help for Thai workers in Iran, Iraq

Labour Minister MR Chatu Mongol Sonakul said on Monday (January 6) that he ordered the Thai minister-counsellors of labour in the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia to monitor developments and inform Thais working in Iran and Iraq, in response to the situation in those countries after Iranian military leader Qassem Suleimani was killed in a US drone strike on Friday.

Survey finds most disagree with dual role of military top-brass

Super Poll revealed today (January 6) that 75.4 per cent of those surveyed on January 2-4 agreed with the proposal of Chuan Leekpai, President of the National Assembly, to change the constitution prohibiting military commanders to serve simultaneously as senators as it is inappropriate for them to receive salaries from both positions.

Arrests net two suspects, more than 1,000 ya bah pills

PHUKET: Two arrests over the weekend, in Kamala and in Wichit, netted two men in possession of more than 1,000 pills of methamphetamine (ya bah) in total, police have announced.
