lol   Probably because you stuck your finger up to democracy by sacking a democratically elected government.   Confine yourself to barracks.

Prayur, Start by telling the people of Thailand "The Truth".

Instead you keep making excuses and putting out lies about what the Government is doing. ????

The offshore accounts are full the property portfolio is complete power has been bought stop bickering ????

Bloke is clearly confusing autocracy for democracy.

Formally he yearned for power. Now that he has it and won't let go its not surprising if he feels the yearning is not there.

Not until the next phony election that is.

This man needs a hug.

But not from me.

"Who says politics is about power and vested interests? I don’t want power or vested interests. Why don’t they trust me?” he asked, apparently rhetorically.

Gotta admit he's a pro. He said all that without even mentioning Section 44...

Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha has appealed to all Thais, regardless of their political differences and affiliations, to stop bickering and spreading hatred against one another, and make use of the mechanism of democracy to help build the country.

Don't forget that your people only copy what you "POLITICIANS" do!

Always with his finger pointed, he should have become a teacher, nobody has yet told him that he is not a sign of good manners.

He is so f funny. A real deal clown.

He is absolutely correct. He is of course referring to the other political parties.

The thai people just want unity, the majority of Thai's are happy with this government which offers security and stability, what the don't want is political parties fighting and arguing.

Work together .....   he is right on this  !

The wife is right, this guy is really funny!????

He needs to take a hard look in the mirror and ask himself what is the meaning of democracy if he can’t work it out look it up in the dictionary then he may realise why the people of the Kingdom no longer smile.

Did he mention Democracy???

adding that he has devoted himself for the past 5-6 years to working for the good of the country and the people “without yearning for power”

Is this guy for real? That is exactly what he yearns for. Extreme power in the limelight and everyone cowering down to him and his cronies. FFP was is an unexpected whirlwind he did not expect that is now being disassembled through ulterior means.

Looking at the photo one could easily and justifiably assume he is bickering and/or spreading hatred. He looks like one angry dude!

I have to admire him for being able to keep a straight face!

Have to have a heart of stone not to laugh ????

Decoding ‘bickering’ - criticising a gerrymandered government, non-elected PM and chaotic, self-serving administration.

The speech rates highly in comedic value.

By "stop bickering" I think he means "stop asking for what you want or pointing out injustice."  And by "build the country" he means "line the pockets of the wealthy."  Just like any establishment politician in the USA.

once you resign, the Thais will stop bickering. Can't you see that?

Out here in the countryside plenty of griping to be heard about being unable to afford basic necessities, and how the government doesn't really listen to the people, but bickering, per se? Not so much.

Two old guys in my local hamlet were talking over a few beers

Good god!....... they said everything everyone was thinking  about government Mr P and other unmentionables!

Very entertaining but people aren't happy for sure!
