TM30 needed for short stay?

Featured Replies

Hi, I am a bit confused regarding when it is necessary to do a TM30 report.

I am here in Thailand on a short three-week visit. The first week I am staying in a hotel, and before departing Thailand I will be staying a few days in a hotel again. So far, so good. But in between then, I will be staying at my wife's family home in Saraburi.

Do we need to do the TM30 thing, or is that not needed for this kind of visit where I do not intend to extend my stay? If we don't do it, could I get in trouble at Suvarnabhumi immigration when leaving or next time I want to enter Thailand?

Thanks a lot!

Yes. No problem if you don't have to deal with Immigration before you go back but technically you need one.

But forget about it as it is not checked at the airport.

You no longer need to do a TM30 for internal movement.

The hoel will or should do any paperwork.

The stay in the village report in NOT required anymore

He said he's staying 3 weeks as a tourist and nothing is checked at the airport.
