January 9, 20206 yr I'm planning on heading to Pattaya for the weekend Songkran starts on 11/04 and was thinking I'd get my (tourist) visa extension done at Jomtien on Friday 10th before it closes for the holiday as I would prefer to do it there instead of chaengwattana. I realise it will be busy, being the last day before closure for the national holidays and plan to get there early. Just wondered if anyone can confirm if they will process everyone who arrives before a certain time? Or if they don't have enough time to process everyone, will you be allowed leeway of being able to extend when they reopen? Even if past your visa expiry?
January 9, 20206 yr When will your 60 day entry end that you will want to extend. You can apply for the 30 day extension early and loose no days. It may be busy on April 10th but if you get there early you should have no problem getting it done. If your 60 days ends during the holiday you would not be fined for a overstay if you applied on the 16th that is the first day they will be open.

January 10, 20206 yr Always best to restrict your visa business to the office where you live rather than leaving it till the last minute and using another office?
January 10, 20206 yr My experience at Jomtien is that you submit your application in the morning one day and collect it the next day. Now if you are going on Friday 10th then you will not be able to pick it up until the 16th.

He will be applying for a 30 day extension of a 60 day tourist visa entry.

Well I've only done it at chaengwattana once and it was such a long and <deleted>ty experience that I decided I would never do it again. I did extend once at Jomtien a couple of years back and it was miles better. I figured as I'd be registered at a hotel close by it wouldn't be an issue?

He's a tourist,it doesn't matter where he applies for the extension. He doesn't have a permanent address like an expat.
