Doctor Strange Sequel: Director Scott Derrickson Leaves The Film

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has chugged along successfully for more than a decade now, but it has hit the occasional directorial speed bump, most notably when Edgar Wright left Ant-Man.

 

Another has just occurred, as Scott Derrickson is citing the age-old "creative differences" and is no longer directing Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness.

 

Derrickson announced the news on Twitter, confirming speculation that has been bubbling for a while that he wasn't as happy with development on the sequel as he had been with the original.

 

It's a shame, as Derrickson brought psychedelic flair to the original Strange and we were intrigued to see what he was going to do with the follow-up.
