Picking up a friend at Don Muang International ,  any help and advice on the parking system there. Where is the short term ? is that the so called basement parking ? is it easy ? they don't have a sim so it's a go get them in the terminal job. Thanks in advance and sorry if it's been covered recently.

It is right adjacent to the terminals, if you drive in you will see the signs. Multistory from basement all the way up. In addition to buildings adjacent to terminals there is one story parking further down (as much as 1/2 - 1 km away).

 

The problem is that parking is often full. Lots of double parking. Can take a very long time to find a spot. 

 

If just picking someone up I would suggest not parking but rather having them call you once they land and have cleared immigration (there is wifi if they don't have a SIM) and fix a meeting point (terminal and door number) and just swing by to get them.

 

Otherwise go far in advance, it has taken me as much as an hour to find a space there.
