Thai man doing land survey stumbles across live grenade next to cassava field

 

Thai caption: Grenade ready to explode!

 

Police were called to an area next to a cassava field in Bo Win, Chonburi after a man doing a land survey came across a hand grenade. 

 

Ritthiphop, 38, thought it was a toy at first but it soon dawned on him and his friend that it was real. 

 

Police put a tire round the grenade and called the EOD, Thai bomb disposal. 

 

They determined it was capable of being used and said it was an SHG 82 from Singapore. 

 

After the area had been sealed off it was taken away. 

 

It all happened in Soi Khanam 5, Bo Win, Sri Racha district.

Probably because bodies were cheaper than tyres.

It's just you.

 

It's not a live grenade either. It may be real, though. A grenade is only 'live' after the pin is pulled.
