The Personal History of David Copperfield: The Hull locations you can see in major new movie

Hull’s Old Town is taking centre stage on cinema screens around the country.

 

On January 24, The Personal History of David Copperfield will be premiering at cinemas, starring Doctor Who’s Peter Capaldi, Dev Patel, Anna Maxwell Martin, Hugh Laurie, Tilda Swinton, Paul Whitehouse and more.

 

But as well as spotting the stars, people from Hull will be able to see parts of our city on the big screen including the areas around Bowlalley Lane and Manor Street.

 

Filming took place in Hull’s Old Town in July 2018, with streets transformed into Dickensian England.
