Retailers ramp up measures against coronavirus

In a move to boost the safety and confidence of customers, major shopping mall operators have stepped up preventive measures against the spread of coronavirus at their branches nationwide.

 

Hygienic measures implemented include providing hand gels at the entrances; sanitising points or spots frequently touched by shoppers, such as buttons in elevators, faucets and door knobs; spraying disinfectant in the elevators, toilets; sanitising shopping baskets and carts and make sure of ample supply of liquid soap in the toilets.

 

Retailers have also provided masks to staff and briefed them on the virus and how to deal with the situatin.

Its well known world wide, that you can have this virus with out showing any symptoms in its early stages, and yes keeping surfaces clean is a start, but you can't clean a surface after each shopper has touched it, you would need an Arny of staff, also a well known fact is the virus spread mostly by people coughing or sneezing, how can you stop that......

Give the retailers some credit. At least they are taking the initiative, which is more than can be said for the government. Would you rather be ruled over by 7 Eleven or the army?

There is only one full proof way to not get sick. Stay away from other people.

they have no choice. they will be heavely impacted with financial losses

they don't do it because they want to protect the health of the people.

I thought it was more or less the same entity

i mean the famous 1% controling 66.9% of the wealth of the country

naively I thought that these basic hygiene measures were already in place in normal times

obviously i was wrong

Imagine what this all is good for if someone sneezes next to you and is sick. 

I know I shouldn't but after seeing mass amounts of people with masks, I really just want to pretend to sneeze next to them

Oh good, now we will get somewhere.  Forget doctors and medical professionals, call out the retailers.

? that doesn't guarantee that you are going to get it! Look at the odds against catching anything! or do you not have a functioning immune system, it wont be rendered inoperable!

You're unfortunately wrong. It's highly contagious.

Rubbish, there's 11,000,000 in the originating city, 81 VULNERABLE people have died, 3,000 are "sick = .1% of the population are affected to date!

Spin it how you want, but that's the reality!

They are all scared so much - - - that we don't spend money... 

Close the malls, ban Chinese tours... the silver lining of this one is pretty hefty.

Best advice is to run away from people holding poles with soft toys on top ... thereby avoiding the contagious hordes that follow them!
