1-Yr Extension Report Back Date - Can I go earlier?

Featured Replies

I applied for my 1 year extension based on marriage on Jan 28 and received my 30-day Under Consideration stamp. My report back date is Feb 27. I saw a thread that if the date falls on a weekend or holiday you can go the last business day before the weekend/holiday, but can I go earlier if I'm not available on Feb 27? If so, how much earlier can I go?

Thanks for your replies

You go as soon as the extension is approved. You just need to contact immigration to find out if it is approved.

You can always go early to immigration to check to see if it is approved.

I went in a day early last year.

As ubonjoe said you best bet is to call or go into immigration. There is no guarantee that your extension will be ready on February 27 if your area is busy it could easily be a week or 2 or 3 later than that. You have a reference number in your passport and they will check using that.
