Nonthaburi expats

Featured Replies

Hi,

I am an expats working in Thailand since three years so far.

I moved in Nonthaburi near Pranangklao bridge and I am looking to meet new friends.

Is there a community of expats, activity, group to suggests?

Tony

I live in Suan Yai.  Very few expats around.  There is an informal group that hangs out at Nonthaburi Pier around sunset and listens to music and drinks beers from the two 711s.  Our numbers have dwindled, as the younger guys had visa problems.  Decent variety of food, gf and I did a whole fish dinner for 145 and it was excellent.  Beats the heck out of the bar scene, but on a bad day it looks a little skid rowish, as there are some homeless, etc., sleeping on the benches, but that is an expanding ferry port, and some prime real estate.  Pay toilet now 5 THB.  Have you been to Owl Market?

Hi,

yes I have been at Owl Market, to be honest not one of my favourite one.

Which Nonthaburi Pier exactly? I am looking something like that, just a group of people to hang out with, have a drink, a talk... I have tried running a meet up group but not very successful, with more than 100 members it end up to hang out with two/three people.

How the group is organized? via line, facebook etc?
