If you believe the numbers, fine. What about 20+ airlines suspending flights to mainland China, except, yes you’ve guessed it, Thai Airways. It’s not really the action of a responsible country.

OTOH, it is the action of a country hungry for the tourist-dollar and pretty much insensitive to the welfare of it's own population. Though I don't recall this government ever being accused of having regard for the welfare of Thais in general. Or of being competent. Neither of which are much in evidence with the on-again/off-again evacuation of Thais, though the touching faith in the expertise of the Chinese government has been - well, touching.

On the contrary, the government are allowing the farmers burn up to 50% of the sugar cane crop.
