April 4, 200719 yr I've about had it with my UPS. It came with a two-year guarantee. I've sent it back to the shop at least 5 times. Each time I get it back it works for maybe a month and then breaks down again. I don't know if I can legally mention the brand name on this forum so I won't for the time being. Here are my questions: 1. Can anyone out there recommend a (locally available) UPS which is a RELIABLE piece of equipment? 2. Can anyone recommend a reliable, stand alone, line surge protector (i.e., not part of a UPS)? Thanks in advance for your input!
April 5, 200719 yr IMHO You can't go far wrong with anything from APC (American Power Conversions), they are THE name in UPS's. Not the cheapest by a long chalk but by far the best. "I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"
