People rush to GPO stores to buy face masks

People line up early in the morning to pick up queue card for buying face masks on Thursday (February 6) at the Government Pharmaceutical Organisation (GPO) Retail Drugstore, Ratchathewi branch.

 

There has been a huge surge in demand for face masks due to the 2019 novel coronavirus and increase in air pollution.

 

 

The GPO and related authorities have distributed face masks to various drugstores to make sure there was adequate supply of the products.

 

 

Initially, the organisation accepted 198 queue cards in the morning and then handed out more queue cards again at noon. The price per pack of 10 pieces is Bt10, limited to one pack per person.
