well it is, it is a strain of flu not some superbug - at the moment it has a lower mortality rate than SARS and MERS. Signs are that it will not get worse in terms for mortality rates, but you keep on with the hysteria

And why was the health minister overseeing operations in Korat yesterday/today?

Trying to look good and take his head out from his derrière. He had a PR op standing right side of PM Clueless with none of them having face masks on. I would suppose they are trying to figure out how they can get the submarine into the war room.

....... the ministry (of commerce) has established a war room to monitor the coronavirus situation and was preparing to resolve the problems .........

Well, then Khun Jurin, start the good work as your colleague at the health ministry is still ranting over those terrible alien farang refusing the wear a basically useless mask ...............

Just the U.S per year, some perspective for you.

While the impact of flu varies, it places a substantial burden on the health of people in the United States each year. CDC estimates that influenza has resulted in between 9 million – 45 million illnesses, between 140,000 – 810,000 hospitalizations and between 12,000 – 61,000 deaths annually since 2010.
